Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how MareCambusa processes the personal data of those who visit the mareecambusa.it website, write to us, or request a quote, pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

A Data Protection Officer (DPO) has not been appointed, as it is not mandatory for our business.

2. What data we process
- Browsing data. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of access. These are collected automatically by the platform hosting the site.
- Data you send us. Name, phone, email, message content, port and date of boarding, number of people, name of the vessel or charter, galley list.
- Order data. If you confirm an order: name or company name, address, tax code or VAT number, SDI code or PEC, delivery and payment details (reason and bank transfer receipt).
- Allergies and intolerances. If you communicate them to us to customize the galley, they may constitute health-related data (Art. 9 GDPR). Please indicate only what is necessary to prepare the order safely, without clinical details. If they concern other people (guests, crew), confirm that you are authorized to communicate them to us.
- Site chat messages. If you use the chat, we process the messages to respond to you and put you in contact with an operator. Do not write sensitive or payment data in the chat.
We do not collect payment card numbers on the site.

3. Why we process them, on what basis, and for how long
- Responding to information requests (WhatsApp, email, phone, chat) and preparing quotes. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). Retention: up to 24 months from the last contact, if no order follows.
- Executing the order: preparation, delivery, assistance. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b). Retention: for the duration of the relationship.
- Invoicing and tax, accounting, and administrative obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c). Retention: 10 years (Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).
- Customizing the galley based on allergies and intolerances. Legal basis: explicit consent (Art. 9.2.a), revocable at any time. Retention: for the time necessary to execute the order.
- Protection of our rights and site security. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f). Retention: for the time necessary for protection, generally up to 10 years.
We do not send newsletters or promotional communications without your specific consent. Data collected via cookies are described in the Cookie Policy.

4. Provision of data
Providing data is optional, but without a name and contact details, we cannot respond or prepare a quote. Tax data is mandatory for issuing the invoice.

5. To whom we disclose data
- Wix.com Ltd. and Wix group companies, which provide the platform and site hosting. They act as data processors.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). If you click the WhatsApp button, the conversation takes place on WhatsApp, which processes the data as an independent controller according to its own policy.
- Accountant and consultants, IT and email service providers, any carriers, to the extent necessary for the service.
- Public authorities, when required by law.
We do not sell your data and do not disseminate it.

6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some providers may process data in non-EU countries (e.g., Israel or the United States). The transfer takes place based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights
You can ask us for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR). You can revoke consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise your rights, write to info@mareecambusa.it or to the PEC saporepuro@legalmail.it. We respond within one month. If you believe the processing violates the law, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

8. Security and automated decisions
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing and do not perform profiling. The automatic chat assistant, if active, provides general information and directs you to an operator.

9. Minors
The site is aimed at adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14.

10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top indicates the latest version.
